ICA Financial Reports

Once a year, Penn State Athletics is required to report a wide array of financial information to the NCAA. These reports, usually made public sometime between early January to mid February, are the best look underneath the hood of one of the largest athletic departments in the nation.

Highlighting revenue and expense information for each of Penn State’s 31 sports, these reports include recruiting budgets, operational budgets, travel expenses, ticket revenues and more. Coaching salaries are typically not made public, although some buyout information can be discerned in relevant situations.

The page below has all available reports dating back to the 2011 fiscal year. To get a sense of chronology, when reports are released, they represent the timeframe that includes the football season prior to the one that has just concluded. So for example, when Penn State’s upcoming 2024-25 football season ends, the fiscal report released in 2025 will encompass the 2023-24 football season and, elsewhere, Mike Rhoades’ first year at the helm of the men’s basketball program.
